Anti-Smoking Campaign

I. Mission Statement
Puffin' Poison is an anti-smoking song/rap is to warn potential smokers youth 12-18 years old of the dangers of smoking. The song addresses the many different physical and mental effects smoking can cause due to the harmful substances found in tobacco products. And because many youth already know the dangers of smoking we hope that this song/rap will be more effective because it is written and preformed by youth of the same age group.

II. Product
The product to be product is a compact disc (CD) with songs written and preformed by participants of the Midnight Forum Summer 2002 session. Along with an Anti-Smoking Visual Arts Design via Flyer, Album Cover, and Mural.

V. Production
To bring this product to the public the Midnight Forums participant wrote and performed the song Puffin Poison that was produced by Daniel Berry AKA DINO and Dominic "Tru" Painter. MC's Steve-O, Isaac Mungen, and Lee Majors assisted the performers in enhancing their written lyrics and verbal performance. There will be a Special Event to showcase the participants' talents and works. The other product of the Midnight Forum was created by Tiesha Coleman, Jorge Rubio, and assisted by local visual artists Eric "Vice".

VI. Distribution and Advertising
The CD will be passed out at the showcase free of charge to the public along with a background Mural. The public will informed about the showcase through flyers pass out with in local area. The desired demographic can be reached through radio advertising and flyers place in schools and local areas social centers.

VII. Uniqueness
This anti-smoking song offers the point of view of youth to youth about smoking.

VIII. Demographics
The anti-smoking song/rap is for all youth 12-18 of every social and economic backgrounds in Washington, DC.
