11 ORIGINAL SONGS BY THE STUDENTS OF THE MIDNIGHT FORUM, INC.

Gentrification, HIV Awareness, Health, Ecology, the Recession, and the state of young women...
just a few of the social issues tackled within the lyrics of the talented teens featured on CIPHER, the latest CD from the ground breaking after school program The Midnight Forum, Inc. "Empowering Youth Through Hip-Hop". Thanks to a grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the educational mentorship of the teachers at The Midnight Forum, a talented group of DC youths were given an opportunity to produce a professionally recorded, mixed and packaged CD of songs aimed at uplifting their peers.

Featured artists:
Domnick Bogan (18 years old), vocals & music production
Gabrielle Hawkins (16 years old), vocals
Dejon Landry aka DJFreestyle (18 years old), electric bass
Antonio Partee (16 years old), vocals

Also featured are 3 veterans of the program, Nate Allen (vocals), Erix Torres (vocals), and Leonard Prather aka G-Sharp (music production) who returned to give back to the younger class of aspiring artists & leaders. The contributors hope to spread their music worldwide via the internet with hopes of a school concert series within the Washington DC metropolitan area in an effort to educate young people and adults alike about the often overlooked problems that affect youths everywhere.

Executive Producers: Steven V. Jones & Dominic Painter
All songs produced by Dominic "DJ Tru" Painter except for tracks 9 & 10 produced by Leonard Prather for G-Sharp Productions, track 5 co-produced by Domnick Bogan, and track 11 co-produced by Dejon Landry
